The Saskatchewan Orchestral Association (SOA) is dedicated to supporting, encouraging, inspiring and educating the orchestral community and people of Saskatchewan in order to nourish and create a vital and sustainable arts and cultural community in Saskatchewan. SOA supports its member groups with operating grants, offers professional development grants to teachers of orchestral string instruments, organizes annual public summer string workshops. offers scholarships for string performers in the Saskatchewan Music Festival Competition, has bursaries available for summer studies, participates in hosting the Saskatchewan Music Conference and provided a quarterly newsletter.
